Product Solutions organization is seeking a
Software System Test Engineer to join our engineering team in
Aurora, CO; Huntsville, AL; Arlington, VA; or Bedminster, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for embedded software.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to define test requirements and strategies.
- Perform integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and drive resolution with development teams.
- Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Document test plans, procedures, and results for internal and customer deliverables.
- Support software release management by validating deliverables and ensuring quality standards.
- Utilize scripting tools (Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in software/system testing, preferably for embedded systems.
- Strong proficiency in developing and executing system test cases for embedded software.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network communication testing.
- Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals and protocol testing/debugging.
- Proficient in test automation using scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Proficient in Git source control and CI workflows.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with automated builds, test execution, artifact management, and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system integration testing.
- Experience testing radar, SIGINT, EW, autopilot, PNT/guidance, or unmanned systems.
- Experience with RF signal chain testing (mixing, filtering, up/down conversion).
