Job Description:

SOFTWARE INTEGRATION ENGINEER

The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the test, evaluation, integration, and troubleshooting of the HPC software stack and related system issues.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Integration Engineer SME must have:
• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
• Security clearance required: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience
• Position Required Skills:
• Experience with the Linux CLI, and the Linux suite of tools
• Extensive recent experience using Bash/Python to develop scripts
• Solid understanding of the Slurm resource management and job scheduling tool
• Experience with integration, evaluation, and system administration of HPC systems
• Experience troubleshooting HPC system problems, including basic system administration tasks, including software stack issues and hardware issues
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Salt and Ansible
• Familiar with HPC shared file systems such as Lustre, GPFS, and Panasas
• Familiar with system monitoring tools such as Ganglia and Nagios
• Familiar with acceleration technologies such as GPU, FPGA, and ASICs
• Familiar with high-speed network interconnect technologies such as InfiniBand and Slingshot
• Familiar with open-source industry-standard HPC benchmark tooling
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with a rigorous, analytical approach that enables diagnosis of root causes and discovery of mitigation/solution paths
• Position Desired Skills:
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience supporting HPC large-scale systems and customers

The likely salary range for this position is $194,650 - $263,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
