Job Description Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers responsible for the design, delivery, support, and modernization of Hogan-based core banking applications.
- Drive the successful execution of application development, enhancement, integration, and production support initiatives across the Hogan ecosystem.
- Partner with business leaders, product owners, and technology stakeholders to translate banking requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, development standards, operational processes, and quality controls to ensure reliable system performance.
- Oversee application stability, incident management, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement for business-critical banking platforms.
- Lead modernization efforts, identifying opportunities to improve architecture, automation, operational efficiency, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to support strategic technology and business objectives.
- Manage project delivery, resource planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communications while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant technical experience
- Five or more years of leading a software engineering team
Preferred Skills/Experience - Strong expertise supporting and leading technology teams within a Hogan core banking environment.
- Deep understanding of core banking systems, banking operations, customer servicing, deposits, lending, payments, and financial services technology.
- Experience with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IBM z/OS environments.
- Proven success leading engineering teams responsible for large-scale, highly available, mission-critical applications.
- Experience delivering application modernization, integration, and platform transformation initiatives within regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, application lifecycle management, and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, architects, operations teams, and executive leadership.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, strategic planning, and talent development skills.
Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
