Software Engineer specializing in workflow orchestration and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining core data workflows and automation pipelines using
Apache Airflow. You will build reliable, scalable, and highly observable solutions supporting data engineering, analytics, and operational use cases. Working in close collaboration with data engineers, platform teams, and key mission stakeholders, you will ensure end-to-end data workflows remain efficient, secure, and production-ready.
The annual base salary range for this role is $178,000-$210,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- Workflow Orchestration: Hands-on experience using Apache Airflow (including DAG design, custom operators, sensors, scheduling, and monitoring) to orchestrate complex data workflows.
- Software Development: Recent, hands-on software development experience using both Python and Java.
- Big Data Engines: Experience working with distributed Big Data processing engines, including Apache Spark.
- Linux Proficiency: Strong operational experience using the Linux CLI, standard Linux utilities, and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes.
- Containerization: Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker, containerd, or Podman.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git source control workflows.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 5+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 3+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 7+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsAgile Tooling: Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for task management and team collaboration.
Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS Cloud services, architecture, and deployment models.
