Job Overview by Ladders

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems software development.
  • Proficiency in ROS or similar middleware with hands-on experience on real hardware.
  • A strong understanding of remote system resilience including recovery and monitoring techniques.
  • Experience integrating robotic systems with broader enterprise or facility management software.
  • Ability to debug complex hardware-software interactions in situ rather than in controlled environments.
  • Knowledge of fleet orchestration, navigation, and SLAM is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, or Go, as well as simulation tools like Gazebo or Isaac.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for robotics focusing on task planning and fleet management.
  • Create reliable autonomy frameworks, integrating perception and navigation functionality.
  • Design operational tools for real-time monitoring and remote robot diagnostics.
  • Ensure seamless integration of robotics data into centralized platforms for better accessibility.
  • Guarantee robust fallback and recovery mechanisms for robot operations in the field.

Benefits

  • Collaborative work environment that values and encourages exceptional talent.
  • Opportunity to push the boundaries of robotics technology in real-world scenarios.
  • Flexibility to influence and shape your role based on your unique skills.
  • Engagement in cutting-edge projects that offer meaningful challenges and rewards.
Full Job Description
Role Scope
  • Build the software behind data center robotics: task planning, fleet coordination, and integration with company systems.
  • Ship the autonomy glue: perception outputs, navigation stacks, and task logic composed into reliable behavior.
  • Own the operational tooling: monitoring, teleoperation fallback, and diagnostics for robots at remote sites.
  • Integrate robotics data into the platform: missions, exceptions, and outcomes queryable like everything else.
What We're Looking For
  • The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've shipped software for robots or autonomous systems in production.
  • You've worked with ROS or equivalent middleware on real hardware.
  • You engineer for remote failure: recovery, fallback, and observability built in.
  • You've integrated robot systems with enterprise or facility software.
  • You debug hardware-software boundaries without a lab bench.
  • Bonus: Navigation and SLAM. Fleet orchestration. C++, Python, or Go. Simulation (Gazebo, Isaac).

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
