The team delivers identity resolution, audience segmentation, and privacy-preserving measurement solutions at scale, enabling more effective targeting, optimized spend, and clear insights into advertising impact.
We are looking for a Software Engineer that will deliver software, automation, analytics, and cloud optimization solutions that connect engineering performance with financial outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Optimization, you will be a hands-on individual contributor who partners across Engineering, Finance, Product, Architecture, Data, Platform, and SRE. Your work will improve cost visibility, infrastructure efficiency, developer productivity, operational reliability, and the return on technology investments while supporting scalable audience, identity, measurement, decisioning, and activation platforms.
Job Description
CoreResponsibilities
Build and maintain software, data pipelines, dashboards, and automation that measure cloud spend, infrastructure utilization, cost per transaction or activation, capacity, reliability, and engineering productivity.
Partner with the Manager and Finance stakeholders to translate budgets, forecasts, unit economics, and business cases into actionable engineering requirements and measurable optimization initiatives.
Analyze cloud, platform, and data workloads to identify cost anomalies, inefficient resource use, redundant services, and opportunities to improve workload placement, storage, compute, and data movement.
Implement AI- and analytics-enabled solutions that automate repetitive operational work, improve forecasting and anomaly detection, accelerate delivery, and surface recommendations for engineering and financial decision-making.
Contribute to the design and delivery of scalable, available, secure, and maintainable services using cloud-native patterns, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
Work with Architecture, Platform, Data, SRE, and product engineering teams to evaluate cost-efficient design patterns and participate in buy-versus-build-versus-broker and modernization decisions.
Create reliable integrations between engineering telemetry, cloud billing data, financial planning inputs, and executive reporting; validate data quality and document definitions, assumptions, and controls.
Support capacity planning, cost allocation, tagging, chargeback, and forecasting processes that improve financial accountability and budget accuracy across engineering teams.
Develop automated unit and integration tests, troubleshoot production and data-quality issues, and ensure solutions adhere to engineering, security, compliance, and operational standards.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including the expected business value, implementation tradeoffs, risks, and realized savings.
Contribute to continuous improvement by reducing technical debt, simplifying operational workflows, sharing reusable patterns, and coaching teammates on cost-conscious engineering practices.
Stay current on cloud cost-management practices, AI capabilities, data platforms, and engineering productivity tools; prototype and evaluate technologies that can improve operational efficiency.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
