Standard Job DescriptionThe selected candidate will be a member within our GNC team, with focus on Navigation and Timing. The job requires use of a wide range of Aeronautical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles from basic aircraft design, stability/control, guidance, multi-sensor navigation, sensor fusion, estimation, system identification, optimal filtering using EKF/UKFs, etc. to develop algorithms from the fundamentals, generate software from models, integrate, and test hardware/software solutions. Expertise with Matlab/Simulink is required, and embedded software development skills are desired.
The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require inter-organizational and outside customer interactions. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction, and integration & test activities is required.
Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline
Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink software
Working knowledge of common programming (C, C++) and/or scripting (lua, python) languages
Experience with Kalman filter design and application to meet performance requirements
Experience with GPS technical details and integration
Desired SkillsMaster's degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
Code generation from Simulink, aerospace embedded software design
Experience with safety critical software and design practices strongly desired
Knowledge and experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom aerospace navigation system hardware
Prior experience in a multidisciplinary aerospace development environment
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
