Responsibilities
The Software Engineering Manager - Salesforce leads the design and development of scalable Salesforce solutions while remaining an active, hands-on developer. This role is responsible for making sound technical decisions, enforcing Salesforce best practices, and ensuring solutions align with the long-term vision and strategic goals of Members 1st. The position combines deep Salesforce development expertise with people leadership, owning end to end delivery and integration across the enterprise.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and the Salesforce development toolkit, with an expectation of regular hands-on development.
• Making architectural and technical decisions that balance scalability, security, performance, and business needs while adhering to Salesforce best practices.
• Providing technical leadership and direction across system design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Leading and mentoring a team of developers through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance, while fostering accountability and growth.
• Maintaining a holistic understanding of how Salesforce integrates with upstream and downstream systems, ensuring seamless data flow and enterprise alignment.
• Collaborating with product owners, business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to translate business strategy and the Members 1st vision into well designed technical solutions.
• Embody agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and effort estimates.
• Ensuring compliance with coding standards, security policies, and data governance requirements.
• Overseeing CI/CD processes and supporting deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
• Troubleshooting complex issues, resolving performance bottlenecks, and ensuring platform stability.
• Staying current on Salesforce platform enhancements, development trends, and emerging technologies to continuously improve solutions and team effectiveness.
SKILLS
• Advanced expertise in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and platform configuration
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, integrations, and best practices across the full ecosystem
• Experience building and supporting integrations using REST and SOAP APIs and modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Proven ability to make informed technical decisions and communicate tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading teams while remaining hands-on in development
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a focus on aligning technology to organizational vision
• Deep understanding of Financial Services Cloud, Data 360, and Mulesoft

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location. We believe in recognizing and rewarding talent, so our compensation packages are thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique qualifications and contributions of each candidate.
The minimum salary for this position is:
$129,000.00+/yr
