The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines that support efficient software delivery. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, reliability, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain complex software applications in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, and Powershell.
- Implement solutions for an enterprise-scale network, including building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software-defined Networking (SDN) solutions to optimize network management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all software, including CI/CD pipelines, architecture, configuration, and tooling guides.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts and services using Python or Java to improve DevOps workflows
- The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Any other required tasks by the program

Standard Job DescriptionPlans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications• Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
• Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship.
• Must maintain a valid US passport.
• Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
• Experience coding in various programming languages, including Python and Java, as well as scripting languages such as Bash and Powershell.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, API integration (particularly the REST API), and Git version control.
• Ability to script and test automation of software tools.
Desired Skills• Active Top Secret Security Clearance is a plus
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00
