Job DescriptionJovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a Software Engineer Level 1 or Level 2 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD Polygraph required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.
Primary Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Javaapplications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering bestpractices.
- Developscalable RESTful APIs and backend services supporting mission-criticalapplications and high-performance enterprise systems.
- Design,optimize, and troubleshoot relational database solutions using MariaDB andother enterprise database technologies.
- Supportapplication modernization initiatives through containerization, Kubernetesdeployments, and continuous improvements to system architecture.
- Participatein technical design sessions, architecture discussions, code reviews,troubleshooting, and Agile software development activities.
- Developand maintain automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines toimprove software quality, deployment efficiency, and operationalreliability.
- Collaboratewith cross-functional engineering teams using Jira and Confluence whilesupporting the complete software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relatedtechnical discipline from an accredited college or university. Candidateswithout Bachelors degrees will require an additional 4 years of softwareengineering experience.
- For a SWE Level 1 a minimumof seven (7) years of software engineering experienceon programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity will be required.
- For a SWE Level 2 a minimumof fourteen (14) years of software engineering experienceon programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity will be required.
- Experiencedeveloping Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot or similarmodern frameworks.
- Experiencedeveloping RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such asMariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar technologies.
- Experiencewith container technologies (Docker or Podman), Kubernetes, or othermodern application deployment platforms.
- Experienceworking in Agile development environments using Git-based source control,CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
- SecurityClearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph, no CCAs will be accepted at this time.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience developing Angular or other modern webapplications.
- Experiencewith microservices architecture, application modernization, orcloud-native software development.
- Experienceimplementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.
- Experiencetuning SQL performance and supporting high-volume enterprise applications.
- Experienceusing Jira and Confluence to support Agile software development.
- Strongtroubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills across application,database, and deployment technologies.
- Experiencesupporting enterprise software within secure or classified environments.
