Full Job Description
Purpose of Position: Develop and maintain software applications, focused on production software and quality control, that enable operation and manufacture of Trillium gimbal systems. Support customer integration activities.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, build, and deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable production systems using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Create and maintain tools that streamline gimbal production processes.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, readability, and adherence to established standards.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support fast, safe, and repeatable releases.
  • Understand gimbal hardware architecture and essential embedded gimbal code at a functional level.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize live production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Establish and enforce quality control practices, including static analysis, test coverage, and release validation.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and etc.
  • Provide technical support for external customers and internal users.
  • Troubleshoot and identify UI and hardware issues.
  • Support customer integration activities by troubleshooting software, UI, networking, video, metadata, control-interface, and hardware-related issues in lab, factory, and field environments.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal engineering teams, production teams, and program stakeholders to identify integration risks, reproduce issues, document findings, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computing (Computer Science, Computer Engineering etc.) and five years of delivering production-grade systems. Master's with five years experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency with C/C++.
  • Experience with DevOps, quality engineering, or reliability engineering required.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and quality assurance tooling.
  • Proven ability to debug, profile, and optimize production applications.
  • Experience with unmanned aircraft systems preferred.


Physical Demands of Position:

  • Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment)
  • Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
