The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.Essential Functions- Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of assigned ML models and AI-enabled features.
- Conduct detailed analysis and investigation to translate difficult business questions into data-driven solutions.
- Design experiments and implement model lifecycle, monitoring, explainability, and rollback practices.
- Explain technical findings and recommended changes to engineering and business partners and ensure shared understanding.
- Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers; may delegate work and review work products.
- Operate assigned models independently and seek leadership guidance for broader AI strategy, governance, or platform decisions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical RequirementsRequired Qualifications- 5+ years of data science, machine learning, or AI engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with production experience in ML frameworks, experimentation, feature engineering, model registries, and model monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with adjacent technical disciplines relevant to the assigned engineering area.
- Track record of providing training or technical guidance to other employees.
