Your Mission, Should You Choose to AcceptAs a Software Engineer II, you will work on software prototypes for prospective customers and building internal software products. The Software Engineer II is a mid-level position that requires demonstrated professional experience and technical acumen in full stack software development. The ideal candidate will be able to understand customer desires and work with little supervision to build features and debug applications.
What will you do?- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Node.js, Typescript, Rust, and C#.
- Work on software features and projects with minimal supervision.
- Provide technical input and follow architectural direction.
- Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Work with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to create dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
- Implement and utilize databases and database transaction layers.
- Collaborate with UI/UX and product teams to understand customer desires.
- Document development progress through tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high coding standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in full-stack development.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
RequirementsCapabilities that will enable your success- A bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems.
- 3+ years of experience in software development with full-stack expertise.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Typescript, and/or .NET (C#).
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience in building and deploying applications (web and desktop, mobile, or tablet).
- Understanding of databases and performance measurement.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in communication protocols such as REST, WebSockets, and message queues (such as Kafka).
- Grasp of version control systems (such as Git).
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Clearance Requirements- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret or Top-Secret level. Existing clearance is preferred.
