SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is seeking a Software Engineer. Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. The candidate should have the ability to be a to work in a fast-paced work environments and are able to collaborate with others while being able tohandle independent tasking.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document softwaresolutions.
  • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, andexpectations.
  • Participate in daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, PI planning,demonstration and retrospective ceremonies.
  • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures,and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subjectmatter to be programmed in business/mission applications, informationprocessing techniques used, and information gathered from system users todevelop software.
  • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions,compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilitiesto resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input dataacquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standardsare met.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, ComputerScience, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration incomputer science courses.

Experience: At least 2 years' experience and proven performance insoftware engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirementsanalysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
  • Able to collaborate with others while being able tohandle independent tasking.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Proven knowledge and experience applying designpatterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with C++ and/or Java, Spring Boot andReactJS.
  • Candidate should be familiar with RedHatEnterprise Linux and git.
  • Knowledge of container technologies andorchestration.
  • Experience with combat systems, control systems.
