Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary

As a full-stack Software Engineer II, you will be able to make contributions to our cutting-edge software platform. You'll provide hands-on software development, participating in design and code reviews. You will document and implement methodologies to ensure high quality products are delivered to our customers. You'll be able to feel passionate about the work you're doing and see the direct impact of your contributions to the product.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand specific areas of the codebase; able to work in other areas of the codebase with guidance
  • Weigh in on technical decisions that impact specific areas of the product the product
  • Research new technologies
  • Keep up with industry trends
  • Demonstrate knowledge of several core technologies used within the platform. For example: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Data, Hibernate, MySQL, Kafka, Spark, React
  • Develop secure and performant solutions
  • Act as Development Team member of Agile Scrum Team
  • Complete tasks using Agentic development methodologies
  • Track all tasks, estimates, and work logged in JIRA
  • Contribute code reviews, documentation, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high-quality deployments.
  • Contribute to the development of the React and Java EE Application
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration Testing development environment by coding and unit testing
  • Work in collaboration with Product Management to provide solutions that address the needs of the business
  • Participate in Security Training, including ongoing education, contests and security reviews
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of related experience in software development or product development environment with a successful coding and development track record
  • Java technical capabilities (Java 8 or higher, Java 17+ preferred) including working with front-end technologies (such as Angular or React - ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, Redux Sagas, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, SaSS, CSS are a plus; exposure to legacy JSF a plus) and back-end technologies and frameworks (such as Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate, REST, and OAuth). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Database skills (SQL). Experience with Oracle MySQL a plus
  • Persistence in the face of roadblocks; ability to dispatch roadblocks efficiently, pulling in others as necessary
  • Seeks empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research
  • Delivers code changes to QA in a timely manner that have been thoroughly unit tested and have minimal bugs
  • Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to be a full stack application developer

This position offers a total compensation range of $113,000.00 to 123,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
