About the roleWe have an immediate need for a Software Engineer I to enhance capabilities of our products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The Software Engineer I will be developing and testing new product capabilities, supporting existing functionality, and supporting cross-domain products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow and learn wide set of technical skills.
Location: Richardson, TX - Hybrid (2 to 3 days in office)
Key Responsibilities:- Working collaboratively with other software engineers, product managers, project managers and quality assurance engineers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions using Linux based, server-side technologies and related tools
- Researching, designing, developing, documenting, analyzing, testing, debugging and integrating capabilities into new and existing applications
- Remaining up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments and actively sharing that knowledge with other team members
- Assist with the day-to-day management of a small data center
- Provide donuts for the team if you break the nightly build
Qualifications and Experience:- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Self-motivated and flexible to changing tasks
- Strong desire to learn new skills and tools as needed.
- Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Lua, Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc.)
- Basic understanding of private and public keys and or certificates
- Experience with version control technologies such as Git
- Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems
- Ability to obtain security clearance if needed.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$74,100.00-107,300.00 USD
The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
