In this role, you will design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies while writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. You will collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and complete assigned tasks efficiently. Utilizing version control systems such as Git, you will manage code changes and work collaboratively with team members. You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with development standards, troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in a timely manner, and document software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference. Additionally, you will stay current with industry trends and advancements in software development and space technologies to continuously improve your skills and contribute effectively to the team.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
- Typically, 0 - 2+ years of experience.
- Basic understanding of one or more programming languages and software development principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some exposure to or coursework/project experience related to DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
- Basic proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
- Basic familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Foundational understanding of security and software development best practices.
- Coursework or project experience with C/C++ build tools is a plus (CMake, Conan).
- Ability to assist in identifying inefficiencies in development workflows under guidance.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with eagerness to learn from senior team members.
- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Exposure to orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Basic exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Exposure to logging and monitoring tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).

Pay Range:
$83,999.00 - $115,498.25
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
