Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Software Engineer.

Location - Williamsburg, VA, Remote

Job Summary:

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) is the number one provider of Metrology software worldwide with leading brands including eMMA, HxGN Robotic Automation, Inspire, Geomagic, PC-DMIS, QUINDOS, Q-DAS, SpatialAnalyzer and VGSTUDIO MAX. Metrology Software offers a comprehensive portfolio, supporting our leading position in Metrology worldwide, making MI recognized experts in the domain of discrete manufacturing.

We are seeking a highly skilled C# .NET WPF Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in modern software application development, as well as a solid background in mathematics.

Job Responsibilities

Application and Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and maintain algorithms, applications and libraries for 3D graphical software using C# and C++. Integrate and implement features using external SDKs and APIs (e.g., 3D engines, CAD kernels, mesh kernels, scanner SDKs)
• Collaboration: Work closely with the other team members, including product owner and quality assurance engineer, on both development and support tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional geographically dispersed teams to define, design, and ship new features as well as to perform support activities.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices in software development.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, backward and forward compatibility.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit tests and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed code and systems.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues and bugs.
• Work environment: Hybrid work in the Williamsburg office location, as needed.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable experience.
• Experience: Proven 5 years + experience with C# or C++.
• WPF Expertise: Proven experience with WPF development is a plus, including MVVM pattern and creating intuitive user interfaces.
• Frontend Skills: Experience with UI/UX design tools is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Team Player: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Geometry & Math: Knowledge and background in mathematics and linear algebra.
• Behavior: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with fluence in English.
• Hardware Experience: Experience with machine interfacing and sensors integration is a plus, specific experience on the product and the hardware will be acquired with the team's support in lab.
