We9re looking for a highly experienced
Software Engineer to join a dynamic network and field engineering program. There are Software Engineer positions in
McLean, VA, Herndon, VA, and Chantilly, VA.Responsibilities:- Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities
- Develops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software
- Performs maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applications
- Writes programs according to specifications needed
- Works with technical staff to understand problems had with software and then resolve them
- Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
- Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts
- Provides technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met
- Software version control baseline documentation
- Develop project schedules, timelines
- Coordinate with Customer9s security elements for Project Certification and Accreditation
- Experience with VPN technologies and protocols including IPSEC and SSL
- Experience in authoring documents (reports, briefings, etc.,) to support customer missions.
- Communicates with staff or clients to understand specific systems requirements
- Provides advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes
- Trains system users in system operation or maintenance
- Researches, tests, and/or verifies proper functioning of software patches and fixes
Requirements:- 11+ years of relevant experience
- BS in technical field or communications; experience can be substituted for degree
- Open to potentially 10% OCONUS travel
- Tactical Communications/equipment experience
- Knowledge of how to access/use and manipulate client databases (assign actions, respond to messages, create and post messages)
- General knowledge and familiarity of field activities and how the Customer supports these activities (policies, procedures, organization etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of client communication and messaging systems
- Knowledge of how to use client systems to submit and track supply and equipment orders.
- Understanding of general field IT issues, and a general knowledge of the project management process.
- Ability to perform calendar management for Customer leadership (serves as back-up when MS is out)
- Knowledge of Customer mission areas (specifically operations)
- Knowledge of Customer directorates and their areas of focus
- Experience setting up meetings, creating agendas, arranging off-sites, and taking / publishing professional meeting minutes.
- Experience ordering and shipping materials domestically and internationally
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Office Suite of tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access etc.)
- Working level knowledge of web products, to include SharePoint (user level only), Wikis, Databases, etc.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Experience:- PMP certification
- ITIL certification
- Military Experience
- Experience as a Senior Operations and Technical Manager
- Experience with domestic and overseas IT, Telecommunications, and Security
- Knowledge of field communications
- OCONUS Travel Experience

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening.
