About the job you're considering We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python and/or Java development and a strong understanding of Telecom Networks and Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and optimizing software solutions that support telecommunications platforms, network services, OSS/BSS systems, automation initiatives, and service delivery applications.
This role requires strong hands-on coding capabilities, technical leadership, problem-solving expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Your role - Develop, test, and deploy scalable applications and services using Python and/or Java, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
- Design and implement new features, APIs, and integrations across the application stack based on business and technical requirements.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through code enhancements and refactoring initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product, Network Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing methodologies, and engineering practices.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and mentoring of junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, network, and production issues.
Your skills and experience - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
- 5-7 years of software development experience with Python and/or Java in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications and microservices.
- Proven experience working within Telecom Networks and Services environments.
- Hands-on experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and system architecture.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911-$161,544.
