AdaptX is searching for a Software Engineer who specializes in API and backend development. This
person will directly impact the success of our products through significant contributions on the
Engineering team. They will have a strong sense of customer advocacy, be highly collaborative, think
critically and creatively, and share their perspectives in formal and informal settings. They will thrive in a
fast-paced, startup environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance AdaptX's codebase
- Deliver clean maintainable code with adequate unit tests
- Resolve technical issues through research and creativity
- Design and implement complex backend systems to a high standard
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure software designs meet requirements
- Identify and fix bugs that are found within code
- Work closely with product management and design to define feature requirements and develop
- code that materially impact product success
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- Document work appropriately
Requirements
- 4 or more years of experience implementing and evolving distributed systems, preferably focused on data storage, analytics and retrieval
- Experience with Python is preferred, Java, Kotlin and/or Go are helpful
- Experience with Graph Database Systems and NoSQL platforms is a significant bonus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to seek clarification and making design choices as appropriate
- Naturally curious and comfortable using data to drive decisions
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Strong ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organization
- Strong ability to operate within a dynamic, fast paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
AdaptX offers a comprehensive, industry-competitive benefits package, which includes medical, dental,
and vision insurance as well as flexible paid time off. The salary range for this role is $110,000-$135,000.
