Position Requirements

Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience in software development, digital signal processing, signals analysis, or communications systems. The ideal candidate combines solid programming skills with a working understanding of signals, a high degree of initiative, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. Experience developing machine learning models is a strong plus.

This is an opportunity to join a focused, employee-owned company and work as part of a small, highly technical team alongside Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineers. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of signal processing and scientific software systems supporting customer mission requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 2-5 years of professional software development experience, including experience with design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Working experience with Python and/or C/C++ in a Linux environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and programming skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, small-team technical environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and technical concepts quickly.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to the requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • Software engineering best practices, including configuration management, code reviews, automated testing, and modern development workflows.
  • Hands-on development of machine learning models, including data preparation, model design, training, and evaluation, using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience applying ML to signal or RF data is especially valuable.
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
  • X-Midas.
  • Experience with DevSecOps best practices
  • Development of scientific, signal-processing, or mission-oriented software systems.
