Software Engineer 2

Description

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer. This role focuses on developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions using Python, Linux, and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python.

• Apply object-oriented programming principles to develop scalable and maintainable software solutions.

• Develop and support applications within Linux operating environments.

• Implement test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain applications using containerization technologies.

• Troubleshoot software issues, debug code, and improve application performance.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to support software integration, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph through this customer is required.
• Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of relevant software engineering experience required.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages and concepts.
• Experience developing software using Python.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Strong foundation in test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies.

Salary RangeUSD $245,000.00 - USD $255,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
