Software Engineer, Spherical Imaging & Computer Vision
Join a team developing advanced spherical imaging technology used to capture and transform complex visual data into actionable insights. As a Software Engineer on the Ladybug team, you will take ownership of critical software and imaging technologies that power industry-leading panoramic imaging systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role with broad technical scope. You will work across SDK development, image processing, camera calibration, focusing, image quality analysis, and next-generation product development while collaborating with experts in hardware, optics, firmware, production, and product management.
What you'll do
- Develop and enhance the Ladybug SDK for Windows and Linux.
- Build high-performance image processing pipelines for panoramic image generation.
- Improve software performance through GPU acceleration and optimisation.
- Investigate and resolve software, image quality, and customer-reported issues.
- Apply modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency.
- Lead development of camera calibration and focusing algorithms.
- Create image quality metrics, validation methods, and analysis tools.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews, and technical feasibility studies.
- Evaluate emerging imaging, sensor, optics, and computer vision technologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new product capabilities.
What you need
- Required: Strong modern C++ software development skills.
- Required: Experience with image processing, computer vision, or scientific computing.
- Required: Windows and Linux development experience.
- Required: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Required: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Advantage: Experience with OpenCV, CUDA, GPU computing, calibration, photogrammetry, or multi-camera systems.
- Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Salary Range:
$76,800.00-$102,400.000
