MTSI is currently seeking a
Software Developer with Modeling, Simulation and Analysis experience to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama.
Key Responsibilities:- Development and application of software development, modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques to support Space-Based Interceptor programs.
- Design and maintain models of orbital dynamics, sensor performance, interceptor engagement analyses, and threat scenarios.
- Perform system-level assessments of design concepts, operational strategies, and system effectiveness to optimize interceptor performance.
- Use simulation tools and software, ensuring accurate integration with real-time data.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), software-in-the-loop (SWIL), and digital integration efforts for test and verification.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and security standards throughout development and analytical processes.
Required Qualifications:Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical discipline; education accepted in lieu of degree.
Technical Experience: - 9 years of experience in software development (C++) modeling, simulation, or analysis within aerospace or defense domains.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Desired Experience:- Experience utilizing AFSIM
- Demonstrated knowledge of orbital mechanics, missile defense systems, and sensor technologies.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as MATLAB, STK, Simulink, Python, or other modeling software.
- Experience in working with classified programs and knowledge of DoD security protocols.
Required Security Clearance: - Must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret ; US Citizenship required.
