Title:

Software Developer

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain websites, web applications, and e-learning solutions using Joomla, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Develop and support Web-Based Training (WBTs), online learning courses, and interactive training content for mission and enterprise customers.
  • Create and integrate multimedia content using Adobe Captivate, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, and PDF technologies.
  • Customize and enhance Joomla-based sites to improve functionality, user experience, accessibility, and performance.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, and stakeholders to transform requirements into engaging digital learning products.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain web and training applications to ensure reliability, usability, and compliance with customer standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design standards, and best practices for web and e-learning solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
  • Minimum of 10 years experience
  • Experience working in a training environment or supporting one
  • Experience developing and maintaining Joomla-based websites and web applications.
  • Experience developing Web-Based Training (WBTs), online training courses, websites, or other e-learning solutions.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, and PDF technologies.
  • Experience using Dreamweaver, HTML, and CSS to develop and maintain web content and applications.
  • Experience developing multimedia and interactive content using Adobe Captivate and After Effects.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Instructional Technology, Graphic Design, Multimedia Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM-compliant course development.
  • Experience with JavaScript or other modern web development frameworks.
  • Understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements and usability best practices.
  • Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly training solutions.

Basic Compensation:

$176,000 to $215,100

This range is for the VA area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
