JOB PURPOSE
The Software Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting software solutions that meet business and user needs. This role applies intermediate-level technical expertise to enhance enterprise applications across web, mobile, backend platforms, and system integrations. The Software Developer II works independently on moderately complex assignments, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and contributes to the successful delivery of projects by ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and delivered on time.

This position partners closely with stakeholders, senior developers, and other departments to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve application performance and user experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
•    Develops and enhances enterprise applications across mobile, web, backend platforms, and system integrations. 
•    Participates in the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions. 
•    Contributes to application architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and high performing. 
•    Adheres to established coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices. 
•    Develops, refines, and enhances features within web-based EMR, PHR, and enrollment systems. 
•    Collaborates with business partners and technical teams to gather requirements and determine appropriate system solutions. 
•    Analyzes user needs and recommends enhancements, upgrades, or new system components. 
•    Provides application support by troubleshooting and resolving software defects, system issues, and performance concerns. 
•    Manages, modifies, and administers databases, including monitoring and validating backup processes. 
•    Coordinates with outsourced development teams to support project execution and delivery. 
•    Participates in issue resolution efforts by identifying and removing barriers to progress. 
•    Develops and implements effective solutions while proactively addressing technical challenges. 
•    Provides technical expertise and recommendations related to software development and programming. 
•    Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. 
•    Works with team members to define software requirements, estimate effort, and prioritize work. 
•    Troubleshoots coding issues efficiently to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity. 
•    Supports knowledge sharing and provides guidance to less experienced team members as appropriate. 
•    Analyzes and documents business requirements, workflows, and processes using conceptual data and process models. 
•    Creates and maintains accurate system documentation, technical specifications, and user support materials. 
•    Documents system designs and translates user requirements into functional and technical specifications. 
•    Participates in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Maintains regular and predictable attendance
•    Consistently demonstrates compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practice. 
•    Works to encourage and promote Company culture throughout the organization. 
•    Ability to visualize and work through complex solutions. Ability to code in C# complex solutions in a methodical way.

QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Minimum of three to five years of software development experience
•    Experience developing web-based or Windows applications
•    Proficiency with: C#, Microsoft Visual Studio, JavaScript and TypeScript, SQL, including queries and stored procedures, RESTful services and back-end APIs 
•    Experience with software design and development using: C#, ASP.NET, LINQ, MVC, HTML, T-SQL 
•    Experience working with healthcare applications, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Personal Health Records (PHR), preferred
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently on moderately complex projects
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Moderate amount of walking, sitting, and writing. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day events in the execution of job duties. Need for flexibility and adaptability to change. Candidate must be self-disciplined and a self-starter and able to work independently with a flexible work schedule.
