Overview
TALON is seeking a Software Developer, Data Scientist with health claims domain experience and strong skills in Python, SQL, and JavaScript to join our team. This combined role builds and maintains software that powers TALON's healthcare price transparency platform and analyzes healthcare claims and payment data to help improve the efficiency of the healthcare system.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys solving problems, works well in a collaborative development environment, and can turn business requirements and data into reliable software and actionable insights.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Portsmouth, NH office. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software using Python, SQL, and JavaScript
Translate business requirements into reliable, well-tested software
Work with healthcare claims and payment data to support product and customer needs
Collaborate with the team using Jira and GitHub, including code reviews and version control
Troubleshoot, debug, and improve the performance of existing applications
Analyze healthcare claims and pricing data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
