Software Acquisition and Production Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Software Acquisition and Production Manager to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX, to oversee and approve task planning and execution on several large projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Acquisition: Develop and refine innovative software acquisition strategies for the nation’s emerging capabilities.
- Requirements Analysis: Recommend and refine detailed operational requirements for emerging Dept of the Air Force domain awareness visualization and data fusion technologies
- Program Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to achieve aggressive project timelines and cutting-edge technology outcomes.
- Advanced Modeling Techniques: Recommend and leverage software modeling and test tools to validate performance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior and senior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Required Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of overall experience and 5+ years of experience in software development program/project management.
- Complex System Design: Experience in designing and supervising the development of complex systems of systems and enterprise architectures.
- Program Management: Proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects. Experience should include managing complex software development projects for senior decision makers.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills in a collaborative environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within all organizational levels, including senior DoD leadership.
- Defense Sector Experience: Previous experience in the defense sector or with DoD projects.
- Proven ability to recommend, embrace and implement change in a fast-paced, high-performing, hand-picked organization.
Desired Qualifications:
- MA / MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management.
- Emerging Technologies: Interest in and experience with the latest system modeling and engineering techniques and languages.
- Software Acquisition: Experience in large-scale software acquisition program(s).
