ExemptKBFS-Temple is seeking a Site Manager / Certified Flight Instructor for our operations at Temple Draughon-Miller Regional Airport in Temple, TX. Job Description: Responsible for organizing and sustaining retail operations in support of flight training and maintenance. Manages and coordinates employees' efforts in a contractor owned/contractor operated (COCO) environment in support of the customer. Ensures operations accomplish obligations on time and to standard. Accomplishes mandatory reporting as required. Meets Part 141.35 FAA Requirements to hold the Chief Flight Instructor Position. Develops TCO's and curriculum with the assistance of the Assistant Chiefs. Conducts all meetings with the Part 141 FAA Aviation Safety Inspector. Takes all FAA Part 141 Chief Instructor check rides.
Responsibilities: - Must be able to independently perform the technical, business, personnel, financial, operations, and logistics requirements of a large size project/program.
- Implements higher headquarters annual and quarterly strategies; reports as required.
- Develops and implements annual business plans and quarterly reviews to ensure forecasts are achieved.
- Formulates and enforces work standards, develops schedules, reviews work discrepancies, and communicates policies, procedures, and goals for the organization.
- Develops, implements, and monitors all schedules to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Responsible for accountability and maintenance of all aircraft, equipment, tools, supplies, and other assets assigned to the organization.
- Responsible for technical direction, professional development, supervision, training, and performance of assigned staff.
- Maintains own flight currency and proficiency as a hands-on instructor. Independently prepares flight training syllabus, lesson plans, scheduling, and student training records.
- Conducts academic instruction in support of basic and advanced flight tasks and maneuvers, instrument training, navigation, and end of stage check-rides.
- Conducts academic and classroom instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other relevant aviation tasks.
- Maintains flight training records in accordance with appropriate regulations and local guidance.
- Conducts all operations safely and in accordance with established company policies, procedures (Flight Operations Procedures, Flight Profiles, and safety programs.
- Conducts pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight briefings.
Qualifications: - Must have broad Subject Matter Expertise in 14 CFR Part 141operations.
- Bachelor Degree or 6 years' commercial aviation experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have five 5 years of commercial aviation management experience required.
- Graduate of Commercial Pilot Certificate program (military or civilian).
- Must holds a current FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate.
- Possesses more than three years' direct experience as a Certified Flight Instructor.
- Flight Instructor Requirements:
- Must Meet Part 141.35 with no restrictions.
- 2000 hours PIC.
- 1000 hours Dual Given (1500 hrs if less than 3yrs experience as CFI).
- Valid CFI/CFII/MEI.
- Complex Endorsement.
- High Performance Endorsement.
- Previous Assistant Chief Instructor or Chief Flight Instructor experience (Preferred).
Preferred Qualifications: - 3000 hours PIC.
- 2000 hours Dual Given.
- Previous Part 141 Chief Flight Instructor.
- Valid ATP
