Site Lead

The Site Lead will provide high-quality operational support services for IT security, business technologies, and mission IT operations at SWFLANT. The Site Lead will manage day-to-day project operations and staff, ensuring compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW), Cyberspace Workforce (CWF) requirements, and customer mission objectives. This role is responsible for directing technical teams across help desk, network, systems, IA, and web/collaboration support functions while ensuring effective communication, reporting, and contract deliverable performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice in IT security, business technologies, and IT operational support services.
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with the SOW, contract deliverables (CDRLs), and customer requirements.
- Recommend continuous improvements in services, technologies, and processes to align with SSP Enterprise and industry best practices.
- Directly manage and support specialized functional teams: Help Desk, Network Operations, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity/IA, and Web/SharePoint and Application Support.
- Ensure all personnel maintain required CWF certifications, baseline training, and security clearances in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M / DoDM 8140.
- Document, monitor, and implement programs to support quality assurance, incident prioritization, escalation, customer relationship management, and employee training.
- Provide management oversight of standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base, call tracking systems, and service delivery.
- Oversee and ensure the operation and maintenance of classified and unclassified IT systems in accordance with DFARS, DoD, and Navy directives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between AO leadership, the Government COR, and other prime/associate contractors within the SWFLANT/FBM community.
- Prepare and deliver all required contract deliverables (CDRLs), including monthly cyber workforce reporting, program status updates, incident reports, and inventory reports.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews with SPK16 leadership, ensuring clear communication of operational status and issue resolution.
- Provide annual employee performance evaluations, counseling, and ongoing professional development support.
- Ensure timesheet approval, labor recording, and compliance with AO/Chenega corporate requirements.
- Support company meetings, audits, and PMO-led compliance initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related technology field OR
- Associate’s degree and 2+ years of additional relevant experience OR
- High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- 4+ years of experience providing IT operations, network, and help desk support in a DoD or enterprise environment.
- Must meet CWF IAM II requirements:
- DoD 8570.01-M / DoDM 8140 certification (e.g., CAP, CASP+, CISSP, GSLC, or equivalent).
- Work Role: DCWF Code 801, Proficiency Level: Advanced.
- Must maintain required computing environment/operating system certification(s) per SECNAV M-5239.2.
- Top Secret clearance
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership and experience directing multi-functional IT support teams (help desk, systems, network, IA, web/collaboration).
- Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity and information assurance requirements, including RMF, DISA STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
- Proficiency in managing IT operations in classified and unclassified environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Ability to analyze and improve service delivery, implement industry best practices, and align with Government mission priorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across contractor, government, and enterprise teams.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining SOPs, service call tracking systems, and knowledge management systems.
- Experience preparing and delivering reports, metrics, and formal contract deliverables (CDRLs).
- Strong ability to evaluate personnel KSAs against requirements and ensure compliance with SOW/CWF standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive priorities.
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and provide proactive leadership to support mission success.
- Must possess integrity, accountability, and the ability to represent AO leadership and corporate values at customer sites.
- Ability to travel if required
