Full Job Description
THE ROLE

The company is seeking a dynamic Site Director in Webster, NY to lead and grow a high-performing automation business, driving operational excellence, customer success, and profitable growth while strengthening Invio Automation's leadership position in the medical device, life sciences, diagnostics, and drug production markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide overall leadership for the Webster site with full responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Communicate a compelling long-term vision that aligns efforts, resources and employees with the mission, strategy, and objectives for the business.
  • Effectively execute differentiated EBITDA margin profile by delivering high complexity, high value, repeat projects in select high growth end markets.
  • Leverage project financial and operational metrics, including percentage-of-completion (POC) reporting, to monitor business performance, identify risks, optimize profitability, and drive informed business decisions.
  • Champion a culture of safety by providing visible leadership, ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, holding leaders accountable for safe work practices, and driving continuous improvement to achieve world-class safety performance.
  • Ensure achievement of operational and financial objectives through disciplined execution, accountability, and effective leadership across all functional areas.
  • Provide executive oversight of the project portfolio to ensure customer programs are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.
  • Represent the organization with major customers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups.
  • Interact directly with key and target customers to assure customer satisfaction, retention, and growing levels of commercial activity.
  • Foster collaboration across all functional areas by aligning Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and HR to achieve site objectives, deliver exceptional customer outcomes, and drive operational excellence.
  • Coordinate and direct group activities that include, but are not limited to, the attainment of identified goals and objectives, which may include forecasting; benchmarking; innovation; recommendations for product positioning, branding and/or product line extensions; and formulating strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the site's leadership team by fostering accountability, collaboration, succession planning, and a high-performance culture.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence through Lean principles, continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and data-driven decision making.
  • Promote and emphasize open communications to foster stronger teamwork and focus on site-wide objectives.
  • Foster cross business cooperation and collaboration to fully leverage talent, products, customers, and intellectual property.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5+ years managing businesses or business units with a mix of automation and/or project-based work complemented by broad commercial strategy business roles is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the full project lifecycle within a custom manufacturing or automation environment, from sales handoff and engineering through procurement, manufacturing, installation, customer acceptance, and project closeout.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a project-based manufacturing environment, balancing customer commitments, operational priorities, and financial objectives.
  • Experience recruiting, building, and scaling a leadership team.
  • Proven ability to build relationships internally and externally, with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical background; skilled at building relationships and trust amongst technical experts and customers.
  • Has led the growth of innovative products, optimizing budgets and spend to maximize organic growth.
  • Strong knowledge of key markets and technology trends.
  • Current or prior work within a medtech, life sciences, drug production/bioprocessing, or diagnostic sector is highly desirable.

EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree in engineering or technical field is desired; BSME, BSEE, Applied Science degree preferred. MBA a plus
