DUTIES:
Works as a member of the Scenario Development Branch (SDB) with duties in the Battle Simulation Center (BSC).
Position reports directly to the Branch Chief, SDB.
Responsible for supporting ten (10), US Army Brigade Combat Team (BCT) rotational training exercises annually.
Rotational training exercises are approximately 14 to 21 days in length.
Typical duties and responsibilities: replicates the Commander of a simulated US Army Combat Aviation Brigade; conducts close coordination with the Commander Operations Group (COG), Task Force Aviation Senior OCT, Plans and Exercise Maneuver Control (P/EMC) Chief (Z06), and Operations Planners (Z01/Z03) to synchronize and replicate the operations of the simulated US Army CAB assigned to 21 ABN Division in-support-of (ISO) JTF-21 operations; develop simulated US Army CAB scenario deliverables 21 ABN or JTF-21 battle rhythm events (Commander's Updates (CUB), Commander's Targeting Synchronization Brief (CTSB), Operation Sync (OPSYNC), Division Orders Brief, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Direct experience Commanding a US Army Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) or higher Joint Task Force (JTF).
Must be capable of providing Command and Control (C2) of CAB tactical operations ISO 21 ABN or higher-level JTF combat operations.
Possess a working proficiency as a CAB or higher JTF unit commander, operating within the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) or an equivalent battlefield simulation environment.
Must be capable of planning, developing, articulating (written and verbal), and executing brigade-level combined arms/maneuver operations concepts.
Possess a mastery of current US Army and Joint operations doctrine; primarily the 1, 3, 5, and 6 series.
Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE).
Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with hand-held radio systems (Harris XL-200P (P25) or equivalent).
Possess a working knowledge and demonstrate the ability to achieve proficiency with tactical Frequency Modulation (FM) radio systems (Single-Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) or equivalent).
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
May be required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Must possess a valid SECRET clearance.

Must be able to work non-standard schedules that include extended hours and/or weekends based on mission requirements.
Must be able to travel unaccompanied to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Recent operations experience as a deployed Commander, US Army CAB or higher-level JTF operating in the USINDOPACOM, USCENTCOM, or USAREUR-AF theater within the past 5 years.
Previous CTC operations exercise design or CTC operations Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) experience as an Aviation Task Force Senior.
