Display IP Silicon Validation Engineer
Toronto/Hybrid


We are partnered with a global leader in the semiconductor industry, assisting in the search for an experienced silicon verification/validation engineer to join their growing display IP team.

This role involves working on silicon verification and validation of Next Generation Display Controllers and Display interfaces that are key to delivering a vivid and stunning visual experience with mobile smartphones, tablets and compute platforms. Successful candidates will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers and verification engineers to help build next generation System-on-Chips (SoCs) for the Mobile, Compute, Automotive and IoT markets.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
What are we looking for?
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good working experience with C/C++
  • High speed test equipment, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers
  • Familiarity with high speed interfaces is a plus: MIPI DSI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits
  • Knowledge of Perl, tcsh, and GNU Make is a strong asset
  • 2-5 years of experience working in emulation and silicon environments


Roles and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to core verification during the pre/post silicon phase of next generation ASICs through simulation acceleration and emulation (FPGA), and/or silicon validation using high speed lab equipment
  • Work with Display IP design and verification teams to develop bring up and validation test plans
  • Develop test content and automation
  • Participate in debug activities throughout the development cycle (pre and post-silicon)
