POSITION SUMMARYModern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a SIGINT Product Engineer to serve as a technical mission integrator, bridging advanced Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) technology and the mission partners who rely on it. In this role, you will own the technical story behind SIGINT products and systems, translating complex capabilities into clear, actionable insight for customers, leadership, and teams across the organization.
Working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer engagement, you will shape product requirements, validate user interface designs, guide development priorities, and ensure every capability delivered meets real mission needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):- Serve as mission integrator and primary technical liaison between engineering teams, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Translate complex SIGINT capabilities into clear briefings, demonstrations, and documentation for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Gather and analyze customer and mission requirements; convert them into technical specifications and product roadmaps
- Collaborate across engineering, program management, test, and operations to align priorities and resolve technical issues
- Support the full product lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment
- Validate user interface (UI) designs against mission, user, and technical requirements
- Lead technical demonstrations, customer briefings, and training sessions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, user guides, and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS)
- Assess customer feedback and field performance to drive product improvements
- Track emerging SIGINT technologies and threats to inform product strategy
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering, product engineering, or a related technical role
- Working knowledge of SIGINT tasking, mission management, and collection systems
- Understanding of radio frequency (RF) fundamentals and digital signal processing (DSP)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
- Experience gathering requirements and translating mission needs into technical solutions
- Experience validating user interface (UI) designs against user and mission requirements
- Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and with government customers
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Experience supporting the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
- Master's degree in a related technical field
- Experience with software defined radio (SDR) platforms
- Experience with signal analysis tools such as MATLAB or GNU Radio
- Programming experience in Python, C, or C++
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) SIGINT programs
- Prior experience in a customer facing technical role, such as field engineering or solutions engineering
