Position: Shop Foreman
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $85,000-$145,000/year (includes base salary + performance bonuses, plus relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses for proven leaders)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Oversee shop workflow, from diagnostics to repairs, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime for import and domestic vehicles.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with service advisors on estimates and customer needs.
- Conduct quality inspections, maintain accurate records, and implement process improvements to boost productivity.
- Enforce shop policies, manage inventory, and coordinate with management on scheduling and resource allocation.
- Stay ahead of automotive trends and technologies to train the team and uphold superior service quality.
Qualifications We Value
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Expert mechanical knowledge in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for all makes and models.
- Proven leadership abilities with a history of team motivation, conflict resolution, and performance enhancement.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with shop management software, warranties, and safety protocols.
- ASE Master Technician certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in a fast-paced shop environment, and remain active throughout the day, including on elevated vehicles.
