Overview
The Sheet Metal Superintendent is responsible for providing overall direction for field installation of assigned project, own direct responsibility for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety on assigned project. Representing the company on the project site and ensuring that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope.
Responsibilities
Attends and contributes to the various project meetings.
Plan-reading, coordination, layout, sketching and materials take-off.
Material, tool and equipment handling; which include: ordering, receiving, placing and returning.
Contracts scope delineations; confirms that construction drawings and specifications agree with contract scope.
Responds to general contractor's requests concerning our scope limits.
Trades stacking and phasing and influences project scheduling.
Manpower loading and maintaining the two week look-ahead schedule.
Time keeping and other administrative duties such as daily reports, submittal log, RFI (Request for Inquiry) status etc.
Ensures that safety and other company programs are implemented and effective.
Building code compliance.
Labor and material cost forecasting with project team
Quality control.
