Tax Director

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Tax Director to lead complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax planning services, and serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base. This leadership role will oversee tax compliance, manage client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm's tax practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and oversee the preparation of complex business, partnership, corporate, trust, and individual tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax filing requirements while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct advanced tax research and provide technical guidance on complex tax matters.
  • Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies designed to minimize tax liabilities and support clients' financial objectives.
  • Review year-end tax projections, forecasts, and tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Serve as a primary client advisor, addressing tax concerns, resolving issues, and providing consultative recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and strategic guidance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop tax managers, seniors, and staff, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Review work prepared by team members, ensuring compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development initiatives, client retention, and business growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and provide high-level consulting support to clients across a variety of industries.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
