We are searching for a highly skilled and talented Setter III to join our manufacturing facility in New York City. We are seeking an individual who excels in advanced stone setting techniques and is motivated to produce exceptional jewelry that exceeds customer expectations.
At Blue Nile, you'll use your expertise to bring stunning jewelry designs to life by setting diamonds and gemstones in a variety of settings, including prong, pavé, bezel, channel, and custom settings for fancy-shaped stones. Team Members are dedicated to delivering a Customer-First experience through exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The Setter III performs advanced stone setting, laser repairs, stone resets, setting repairs, and polishing while ensuring all pieces meet company quality, design, and finishing standards. Successful candidates possess exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve complex setting challenges while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners to ensure timely completion of work.
Key Responsibilities:- Expertly set diamonds and gemstones in a variety of settings, including prong, pavé, bezel, channel, and custom settings for fancy-shaped stones.
- Perform advanced stone setting and bench work while ensuring all pieces meet company quality, design, and finishing standards
- Execute laser repairs, stone resets, setting repairs, and polishing with precision and efficiency
- Evaluate and resolve complex stone-setting challenges while maintaining the integrity and appearance of each jewelry piece
- Communicate technical and non-technical requirements clearly with team members and cross-functional partners to ensure timely completion of work
- Support business needs through schedule flexibility, including overtime and modified work hours when required
Requirements- 10+ years of bench jewelry and with focused expertise in stone setting
- Proven experience working with platinum, 18K gold, colored gemstones, and fancycut stones
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while adapting to changing business priorities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to craftsmanship excellence
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications: - Master-level expertise in setting-colored gemstones and crafting high-jewelry pieces.
- Advanced proficiency in laser welding, restoration, and repair of complex jewelry designs.
- Experience training, mentoring, or guiding less experienced stone setters.

Base pay is $35.00-$45.00 Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.At this time, Blue Nile will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
