Team Leadership
- From engineering's viewpoint; lead cross function discussions alignment between production, quality, sales, marketing purchasing, finance, product management, CAE, other R&D teams, and cross system engineering partners.
- Topics will include chassis (suspension/wheels), braking, and steering.
- Triage issues and bring them fourth in proper priority.
- Bring together DRE topics formally and present to cross-functional teams and upper management.
- Lead topics for engineering from a program management perspective; organizing cross functional teams and engineering as needed.
Budget
- Review budget with engineers ensuring nothing is missing and any forecasting is properly documented/aligned.
Program Management
- Identify timing issues and raise topic to next level of management.
- When multiple directions/scenarios exist, organize cross-functionally to help facilitate a decision matrix.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Taking input from engineering team track progress and potential risks.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
- Travel: Travel requirements are expected to be up to 10%. Valid driver's license required. Passport required.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Program Management, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in chassis, suspension, or wheel guidance within an OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
- Proven experience helping developing components from concept through production release.
- Prior program management experience.
- Experience with supplier management, design reviews, PPAP processes, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Pay TransparencyThis is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
