Position Summary
The Service Project Coordinator supports the execution of large-engine service projects by coordinating warranty activities, financial reporting, project administration, invoicing, and government contract requirements. This role serves as a key partner to Service Managers, Finance, and operational teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, customer commitments are fulfilled, and financial performance is accurately tracked. Through strong coordination and operational oversight, the position contributes directly to service excellence and business performance across the Large Engine Services organization. The individual in this role will be required to be onsite on a hybrid basis at the customer location in Lockport, Louisiana to focus on assisting technicians, reporting, and monitoring job progression on the customer site.
What you will be doing
• Coordinate the administrative and financial execution of large-engine service projects, including labor tracking, invoicing, quotations, purchase requests, parts management, tooling records, and project documentation.
• Manage warranty and work-in-progress activities by tracking claims, supporting failure analysis processes, monitoring open items, and partnering with internal stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
• Analyze project financial data, revenue projections, and controlling reports, providing visibility and support for operational decision-making and project performance improvements.
• Support government contracts and customer projects by coordinating documentation, invoice submissions, records management, and compliance with applicable customer and contractual requirements.
• Partner with Service Managers, Engineering, Finance, and global stakeholders to coordinate corrective actions, improve service execution processes, and support successful project delivery.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time to customer sites located around the globe and US Coast Guard Bases. This position will be located in Lockport, Louisiana when travel is not required.
Basic Requirements:
• Associate's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in service project coordination, project administration, customer support, warranty administration, or a related field; OR
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in service project coordination, project administration, customer support, warranty administration, or a related field; OR
• Master's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field; OR
• JD/PhD in Business, Engineering Technology; OR
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in service project coordination, project administration, customer support, warranty administration in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience supporting service projects involving internal combustion engines, marine equipment, power generation systems, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of warranty administration, government contracts, work-in-progress management, project financial reporting, and service operations.
• Experience utilizing SAP and related business systems, including MS5, PAS, C4S, PS3, or similar ERP, service, and project-management platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management capabilities, with experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple internal teams, suppliers, customers, or subcontractors.
Mental & Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces as required by field service tasks.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, lift, and use a keyboard or mouse as required to perform the position.
• Ability to work time in marine shipyards and vessel engine rooms in an office environment.
• Ability to work near moving mechanical equipment and in environments that may include elevated noise, fumes, dust, water, odors, gases, heat, cold, and humidity.
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule and extended hours while performing field-service assignments.

Pay Range
Pay ranges for remote employees are based on the state where the employee resides and may vary from the posted range.
$68,255 - $110,915-Annually
