Job description

Service Engineer positions offered by Safran Helicopter Engines USA, Inc. (Grand Prairie, Texas). Provide Technical Support to Field Representatives & Customers for Safran HE engines in service. Maintain visibility on Performance & Reliability of Safran HE engines in service. Deliver expert-level technical support to Field Representatives and customers through phone consultations, email correspondence, and on-site engagements, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues. Draft, validate, and authorize technical agreements under design office delegation, aligning with regulatory standards and engineering best practices. Lead root cause investigations for in-service incidents, producing comprehensive analytical reports that inform corrective actions and enhance operational safety. Drive continuous improvement in engine maintainability, initiating updates to maintenance procedures that optimize performance and reduce downtime. Analyze Health Monitoring data and engine parameters to troubleshoot engine fault codes/issues in-service and/or provide maintenance recommendations as required. Perform advanced data analysis on engine removals and reliability metrics to identify systemic trends, propose actionable solutions, and support fleet-wide reliability enhancements.

Candidate skills & requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience in aeronautical maintenance or engineering.
• Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following:
- Working in the field of Gas Turbine Engines and Helicopter Systems
- Analyzing complex engine parameters data to provide engineering recommendations
- Analyzing advanced data analysis on engine removals and reliability metrics to identify systemic trends
- Utilizing Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
- Working with Power BI.
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
- Position reports to Grand Prairie, TX office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
- Must be willing to travel domestically 15%.
The expected salary range for this position is between $131,518 - $145,000 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
