The opportunityEY's Service Delivery Center continues to expand its ServiceNow capabilities to meet growing demand across the firm and our clients. As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you'll play a key role in shaping platform architecture, leading complex implementations, and influencing how ServiceNow is used at scale. You'll work alongside technologists and consulting teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions while mentoring others and setting development standards.
Your key responsibilitiesYou'll spend your time designing, building, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions that have real enterprise impact, including:
- Designing and delivering ServiceNow solutions across multiple application areas, including IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Asset Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, Integrated Risk Management, Security Operations, HR Service Delivery, and Customer Service Management
- Developing custom applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and integrations using JavaScript and Glide
- Owning platform architecture decisions to ensure scalability, performance, security, and alignment with ServiceNow best practices
- Designing and implementing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party enterprise systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
- Acting as a ServiceNow subject matter expert by supporting complex issues, mentoring team members, and promoting platform standards
Skills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role, you must have- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in large or complex enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and core development components, including business rules, client scripts, workflows, and UI policies
- Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ideally, you'll also have- Experience delivering ServiceNow solutions aligned to industry-specific or regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting advanced platform capabilities, such as automation, orchestration, or AI-enabled solutions
- Exposure to mentoring junior developers or setting development standards across teams
CertificationsRequired- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Strongly preferred- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, SPM, IRM)
Nice to have- Additional ServiceNow mainline or advanced certifications

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
- New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $80,300 to $149,100
- Bay Area California offices - $83,700 to $155,300
- All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $67,000 to $136,800
- Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
