Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screening
• At least two years of experience as an automotive service writer or service advisor required; experience as a service manager preferred
• Deep understanding of automotive technology, service technician duties, and repair services required

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of automotive service professionals to maintain employee morale and customer satisfaction while ensuring profitability
• Answer phones and convert calls into service appointments using established procedures
• Use digital platforms (Auto Vitals Inspection) to communicate customer concerns and needs
• Build and present customer estimates utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
• Mentor staff on best practices for improving sales and customer service
• Oversee daily operations of technicians and workflow management
• Manage the flow of service department paperwork including invoices, repair orders, and parts inventory
