You will report to the Service Manager.
This is an on-site position located in Latham, NY.
Responsibilities:As a Service Advisor, you will initiate automotive services and repairs. You will check vehicle performance problems and service requests, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer records.
- Be the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensure the technician understands the customer's needs and the customer understands the needed and recommended service/repairs.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
- Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
Qualifications:- 3+ years experience of Service Advisor experience, preferred.
- 3+ years experience as an automotive technician a plus.
- A team player who is focused on providing customer service.
- Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
Est. Annual Compensation: $70,000 to $120,000
Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge/bonus/commission, location, etc.
