Responsibilities

  • Manage civil/environmental water and wastewater projects
  • Oversee and perform technical design tasks

Full Job Description
Lead transformational water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Florida while helping shape the future of a growing practice. Mead & Hunt is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager/Engineer to drive high-profile municipal projects, build lasting client relationships, mentor emerging talent, and influence the continued growth of our One Water team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Drive project delivery from planning through construction for complex water and wastewater infrastructure programs
  • Develop winning strategies and proposals that expand client relationships and grow our presence in the Florida market
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal and county clients
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions
  • Help expand our presence in the Florida market through trusted client partnerships, strategic project pursuits, and exceptional service delivery
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
  • Serving as a client manager


Travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, environmental or related engineering from an accredited college or university
  • At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience
  • PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states


The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:
  • Designing water and wastewater projects, with specialization in one or more of the following project types:
  • Large diameter pipelines
  • Water/wastewater treatment
  • Pump stations
  • Effluent disposal and biosolids
  • Stormwater
  • Project management (scope, schedule and budget)
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
  • Client management for municipal and county governments
