A day in the life:

We're seeking a talented Virtualization Product Manager to join a team defining and communicating the product vision and roadmap for cyber mission systems, with a focus on virtualization and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic guidance and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable and resilient technology solutions for virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Lead product backlog refinement, ensuring features and capabilities for virtualization and containerization platforms are well defined, prioritized, and decomposed into actionable user stories.
  • Work with Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, and Scrum Masters to support Program Increment (PI) execution, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional efforts for virtualization and containerization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the Department of Defense to gather input and align delivery of virtualization and containerization capabilities with operational needs.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings (TEMs), operational working groups, and OCO-related forums focused on virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Partner with clients to identify business goals, user requirements, and product direction while developing roadmaps, test strategies, and functional requirements for virtualized and containerized solutions.
  • Work with designers and engineers to develop and deliver multi-platform applications supporting virtualized and containerized environments.
  • Lead collaborative initiatives with company partners and industry experts to deliver innovative technology solutions.
What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc) from an accredited instituation and 12+ years of relevant experience
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or similar Agile certification(s) is desirable. VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with government agencies or contractors in the intelligence or defense sectors is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies such as vSphere and vCenter, orchestration of virtual machine deployment and management. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes, and concepts of shared service meshes with services such as Keycloak, MinIO, and Vault.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, along with experience with Agile methodologies and cloud services. Proven experience in building enterprise-grade products from concept to launch. Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies, including various infrastructure platforms. Proficiency with agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in the development of products and/or management in a development environment. They build and implement product strategies aligned with the OCO PMO's vision, develop roadmaps, and prioritize features for virtualization and containerization platforms.
  • Facilitate interactions between all stakeholders and actively interacting. Good with documentation.
  • Comprehensive training on installing, configuring, and managing VMware VSphere.
  • In-depth training on administering Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • A TS/SCI with Polygraph level of security clearance.

Salary Range:

  • Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
  • Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $180,000 - $235,000.
