Full Job Description
The Role

As Senior Video Producer at Hedra, you'll own our video engine end to end. YouTube is our highest-converting channel across developers, prosumers, and enterprise, and you'll be the person who makes it run at a sustainable cadence.

You'll produce the long-form work (tutorials, feature deep-dives, and product narratives) built around what developer, prosumer, and enterprise audiences actually search for. Every long-form piece then feeds a cutdown pipeline for X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and paid media. You'll write or brief the scripts, run the freelance bench that executes alongside you, and own the channel itself: thumbnails, titles, metadata, and the weekly numbers.

You'll do most of this work yourself, shooting and cutting as well as producing. The freelance bench gives you extra volume and specialist craft (e.g., motion graphics). You'll partner closely with marketing, manage contractors, and work against the launch calendar.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing to build deep knowledge of the product, our users, and what those users are trying to build.
  • Own the video content calendar, aligned to the marketing launch calendar and blog and email themes.
  • Produce long-form YouTube content targeting developer, prosumer, and enterprise search intent: tutorials, feature deep-dives, and product narratives.
  • Source, contract, and manage the freelance bench of video editors, motion graphics designers, and on-camera talent. Keep at least two vetted options per function so no single contractor is a point of failure.
  • Write the scripts yourself, or brief them out when volume demands it, working with marketing on messaging as needed.
  • Turn every long-form piece into short cuts for X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and paid media. You'll cut most of these yourself and hand overflow to the bench.
  • Manage any agency relationships under clear guardrails: briefs, SOWs, continuous asset delivery, and weekly reporting.
  • Own YouTube channel operations, including thumbnails, titles, metadata, and search optimization, and report weekly on output and conversion-relevant metrics.
  • Keep all raw footage, project files, and account credentials organized in company-owned systems.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years producing video for a tech or SaaS brand, including at least one YouTube channel you grew and can show the numbers for.
  • A track record hiring and managing freelance editors and motion designers, not only working inside a large in-house team.
  • You can script, and you can shoot scrappy solo content when the moment calls for it. This is not a project management role.
  • You understand YouTube as a search and conversion channel, not only a brand channel.
  • Enough technical fluency to make developer-facing content credible: you can follow a product demo and you know what an API is.
Who You Are
  • Hands-on. You'd rather cut the video yourself than wait a week for a contractor to get to it.
  • Self-motivated and independent: able to set ambitious (and yet accurate!) timelines and deliver on them.
  • Low ego, high patience, proactive communication. Strong opinions, weakly held.
  • Curious about generative AI and world models, and interested enough to use the product yourself.
  • And most importantly, treat Hedra as your own and help shape the vision with us.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Healthcare (Silver PPO Medical, Vision, Dental)
  • 401K
  • Lunch and snacks at the office

We encourage you to apply even if you don't fully meet all the listed requirements; we value potential and diverse perspectives, and your unique skills could be a great asset to our team.
