Job DescriptionThe Global Corporate Transformation team, part of the CFO organization, shapes how the firm's functions, processes and roles should operate. As SVP, Global Services Management, you will run the firm's global services model and deliver new capability into it, reporting to the Head of Global Corporate Transformation. When the transformation team determines that a function, process or role should operate differently, you make it happen: standing it up in the service center, standing up the onshore roles that sit alongside it, and running both well thereafter.
This is an operator and oversight role. You determine how work gets delivered, where it sits, who does it and whether it performs, holding both the provider and the onshore organization to that standard. Think general manager of a service model delivered partly through a partner and partly onshore.
We'll trust you to:- Translate the transformation team's target operating models into a delivery plan covering what moves into the service center, what is stood up onshore, and in what sequence
- Assess the feasibility, cost, capacity and risk of onboarding a function or role, and say plainly when something is not ready to move
- Define the target service model for each capability, including scope, roles, governance, service levels, technology enablement and interfaces with retained functions
- Lead transition and stabilization of new scope through to steady-state performance
- Determine appropriate delivery locations across offshore, nearshore, onshore, partner and other models
- Stand up the onshore roles that sit alongside migrated work, in partnership with People & Organizational Transformation
- Serve as executive owner of the strategic provider relationship through their senior leadership
- Own the operating performance of everything delivered through the model, onshore and offshore, leading the governance forums that drive accountability for service levels, quality, capacity, productivity and issue resolution
- Hold the provider accountable for automation, AI and year-over-year productivity commitments
- Own the commercial relationship end to end, with support from Legal and Finance, including scope changes, pricing, benchmarking and renewals
- Track and report value realization against the business cases built by the transformation team
- Partner with Risk on resiliency, business continuity, concentration risk and exit planning, and build regulatory, risk and continuity requirements into capability design before go-live
- Ensure the operating model is designed and governed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, with particular awareness of EU and UK requirements affecting regulated entities and third-party arrangements, and support internal audit, entity boards and regulators as required
- Use service-performance data to identify where processes should be simplified or automated further, and bring that back to Process & Technology Transformation
- Act as the firm's senior advocate for the global-services model and what it can become, partnering with functional heads (who retain accountability for their process outcomes and policies), Process & Technology Transformation, People & Organizational Transformation, Technology & Engineering Transformation, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance and entity leadership
- Influence Managing Directors and functional leaders in a matrixed organization without relying on direct authority, and give honest feedback on sequencing, capacity and readiness for the transformation agenda
You'll need to have:- 10+ years of experience, including leadership of a global services, GBS, global capability center, outsourcing or comparable service-delivery model
- Built or scaled a global services model and then run it, accountable for live service performance and not only for transitions
- Personally transitioned new capabilities into a global-services environment
- Led commercial negotiations on significant multi-year service agreements
- Worked in financial services or a comparable regulated industry
- Gained working knowledge of EU and UK regulatory expectations for third-party arrangements
- Developed commercial fluency, with an understanding of how providers price, staff, deliver and generate returns
- Demonstrated executive presence sufficient to influence Managing Directors and functional heads
- Executed effectively against an agenda set elsewhere, and been candid about what can and cannot realistically be delivered
