Description
SUMMARYThe Senior UX/UI Designer connects Creative, Strategy, and Dev to deliver a holistic vision and execution for clients' web and digital experiences. You will also be the bridge between human behavior and digital innovation, understanding that a beautiful interface is useless if it doesn't solve a user's problem. The successful candidate must be a sharp, imaginative, experienced web and digital designer who can digest a brand's needs, wireframe a site, design it impeccably, and work with the Dev team to bring it to fruition. This teammate will utilize a digital-first background and passion for UX/UI excellence to support a high-performance culture of experimentation, crafting award-winning digital experiences for a roster of national and global brands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Oversee UX/UI features for all web projects, from high-converting campaign landing pages to full-scale mobile apps and e-commerce overhauls
- Act as the primary client interface from the Creative team
- Work directly with other creatives and clients to identify requirements and ensure positive UX/UI
- Play a key role in discovery and estimation processes, working closely with Creative, Strategy, and PM teams
- Create and implement strategies that improve UX through design and development
- Identify and alleviate pain points between Creative and Development departments
- Assess digital marketing and UX/UI roadblocks and quickly leverage digital knowledge and experience to provide innovative solutions
- Provide oversight on web/digital projects and bridge communication between multiple departments
- Identify best UX/UI practices to deliver better-performing web experiences
- Take ownership of the creative as it relates to Web Development
- Provide leadership and training to other creatives
- Collaborate with ECD and ACDs to create innovative and user-friendly interfaces
- Provide creative direction to Developers during development process, for example:
- Transitions and animations
- Margins, padding and spacing
- Responsive breakpoints
- Compliance (GDPR, ADA, etc.)
- Overall polish and consistency
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of experience as a Web Developer
- 3+ years design-related experience
- Experience with the entire LAMP stack
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Excellent mentor and team player
- Ability to provide concise, constructive feedback
- Strong inter-departmental communication skills
- Ability to focus and excel with competing demands, both client and internal
- Motivation to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion with a keen eye for design aesthetics
- Ability to recognize and quickly communicate project risks both to the timeline and quality of final deliverable
- Strong leadership skills
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS- 6+ years of experience as a UX/UI, digital-first designer
- Experience with and understanding of the technical intricacies of web development
- Bachelor's Degree in design or related field
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing work
- Excellent team player
